The challenge
What needed to change.
The client needed the feel of a polished sports game and a payment flow that belonged inside the experience. Game state, wallet actions and transaction state had to be understandable together.
Game feel first
Players expect golf and pool to play like proper sports games, not crypto demos.
Understandable payments
Players need to see the wager and transaction state clearly before and after a match.
Payments inside the game
The token had to work for wagers, entries and purchases without sending players out of the game.
The engineering decision
Keeping the match and the money connected.
A game and a blockchain transaction operate on different timelines. VTS’s contribution connected the Unity experience to the payment and token layer, with attention to how players move between the match, their wallet and the transaction outcome. The scope was a contribution within the client’s team, rather than sole ownership of the game.
