Krown NetworkClient work

Engineering Krown's Layer 1. Operating its ecosystem.

Krown Network is an EVM-compatible proof-of-stake Layer 1 connecting trading, wallets, staking and bridging. VTS Labs provides engineering leadership and operates the infrastructure behind the network, which launched mainnet in January 2026.

The challenge

What needed to change.

Krown Technologies wanted its own chain, not a tenant on someone else's. It had to run a DEX, a wallet, staking and a bridge, feel familiar to Ethereum developers, and leave room for post-quantum security.

01

A whole ecosystem on one chain

Trading, wallets, staking and bridging all depend on the same execution layer, RPC and explorer.

02

Ethereum tooling, own network

Builders needed Solidity, Hardhat, Foundry and MetaMask to work without changes.

03

Clear operational ownership

A live network needs mapped dependencies, recovery procedures and a team accountable for day-to-day operations.

The engineering decision

Taking over a live chain without stopping it.

As operational responsibility changed hands, the network was live and users already held KROWN. VTS mapped 79 servers and 25 applications, linked them to their infrastructure dependencies, and documented recovery and provisioning procedures. The decision was to stabilize and document the existing system before changing it. That preserved continuity while creating a foundation for future improvements.

What VTS delivered

From decision to delivery.

A usable Layer 1 needs more than block production, so we built the chain and the infrastructure around it.

01

Proof-of-stake EVM chain

Separate execution, consensus and validator layers, with Solidity contracts and standard token formats working as expected.

02

Public RPC

Dedicated endpoints for wallets, apps and integrations, kept separate from validator responsibilities.

03

Explorer and indexing

Every block, transaction, address and contract is publicly inspectable.

04

Archive nodes

Full historical state for analytics, debugging and integrations.

05

Validator fleet

Validators spread across providers, with slashing protection and controlled key management.

06

Bridge to Ethereum

A Hyperlane corridor connecting Krown to Ethereum.

Working together

How we engaged.

VTS provided fractional CTO and engineering leadership for Krown. Since July 2026, a monthly DevOps and maintenance retainer covers monitoring and remediation across the chain, validators, RPC, staking platform, DEX and explorer.
