Krown Validator PlatformClient work

Two ways to stake. One guided product.

Krown’s staking platform brings managed validators and shared staking into one wallet-first experience. The two models have different entry requirements and exit rules. VTS designed and built the product and operates its managed validator fleet.

The challenge

What needed to change.

Running a validator is technical and high-commitment, which shuts out most token holders. Krown wanted large operators and small holders inside one product.

01

A hard path to validate

Eligibility, staking, approval, node activation and withdrawal rules are hard to follow by hand.

02

Smaller holders left out

Anyone below the full validator requirement had no structured way to earn validator rewards.

03

Unclear exits

Unstaking isn't instant, and holders need to know when rewards stop and when funds come back.

The engineering decision

Two lifecycles, one product.

Managed validators and shared stakers have different entry rules, rewards and exits. A managed validator stakes 100M KROWN, waits for approval and gets a dedicated node; leaving means a full unstake. A shared staker can start with 100K, earns by share of the pool, and can unstake part of a position as long as what remains stays above the minimum. We kept the two models separate where they differ and identical where they don't: the same wallet-first flow, the same reward withdrawal and the same 21-day unbonding period for both. Holders learn one product, not two.

What VTS delivered

From decision to delivery.

The full validator journey, from choosing a model to withdrawing funds.

01

Onboarding

Holders choose between a managed validator and shared staking before committing anything.

02

Eligibility checks

The platform confirms the wallet and balance before a holder starts a flow they can't finish.

03

Staking

Managed validators stake 100M KROWN; shared stakers join the pool with 100K to 1B.

04

Dashboard

Status, stake, commission, rewards and unbonding progress in one place.

05

Rewards and exit

Earned KROWN is withdrawn directly; unstaking enters a tracked 21-day unbonding period.

06

Node provisioning

Each approved managed validator gets a dedicated node, run by VTS.

The product flow

  1. 01

Connect a wallet and choose a model.

  2. 02

Pass the eligibility check and stake.

  3. 03

Earn rewards, tracked on the dashboard.

  4. 04

    Withdraw rewards at any time.

  5. 05

Unstake into the 21-day unbonding period, then withdraw.
